Rioghnach Ní Ghrioghair is an award-winning writer, director and producer from Dublin who creates and develops female-focused stories in genre cinema.
Winner of the 2022 Aer Lingus Discovery Award, Rioghnach’s award-winning horror short film, Don’t Go Where I Can’t Find You, was selected for Midnight Shorts at SXSW 2022, went to over 40 festivals internationally and was nominated for the Best Live Action Short Film at the IFTAs in 2023.
Other credits includes Break Us that screened at over 30 festivals internationally including, Fantasia Film Festival 2019 and Balor Hall, a half hour murder mystery whodunnit commissioned by RTE under their Storyland Scheme in 2023.
She is one of Screen International’s Rising Stars 2023, an EDA nominee for Best Emerging Director, and participated in BBC Writers’ Room’s VOICES program. She is currently developing several feature films with some of Ireland’s leading companies.
Rioghnach's pronouns are she/her, and she identifies as queer.
